there was a crazy earthquake. still feeling the aftershocks. it was pretty bad, especially out in miyagi. hope everyone is ok.

pretty good game so far. and there's a nice-sized crowd here. could be the biggest i've seen at this tournament so far.

i ended up coming out the game at the very last minute. japan has a 8-0 lead over chinese taipei going into the 5th.

still tied at 2 in the top of the 5th. taipei has a runn on 3rd and 2 out.

suzuki just hit a 3-run homer to put japan up, 4-3. it's almost an hour since the 1st pitch and the game is just now heading into the top of the 3rd. slow game.
